Gottheimer Earns Support From Teaneck Leaders
Highlights Record of Protecting Our Jersey Values
HACKENSACK, NJ — Today, Teaneck Mayor Mark Schwartz and Deputy Mayor Karen Orgen endorsed Congressman Josh Gottheimer for Governor of New Jersey. In their endorsement, both leaders commended Gottheimer’s record of solving tough problems and getting things done for Jersey. This announcement follows former Mayor and now Councilman Elie Katz’s endorsement, adding to Josh’s growing support from Teaneck leaders.
Mayor Schwartz emphasized Josh’s history of bringing back tax dollars for Jersey families.
“From expanding the Child Tax Credit and supporting small businesses to clawing back millions in federal dollars for infrastructure investments and our first responders, I’ve seen up close how Josh has delivered for Teaneck and all of New Jersey’s 5th District,” said Mayor Schwartz. “Josh has been a fierce supporter of the U.S.–Israel relationship and has been a leading voice in combating the alarming rise of antisemitism in Teaneck, New Jersey, and around the nation. I firmly believe Josh is the right leader to reboot our economy and protect our Jersey Values.”
Deputy Mayor Orgen praised Josh’s plan to lower taxes and costs for Jersey families.
“Jersey is facing an affordability crisis, and there is no one better equipped to help us overcome it than Josh,” said Deputy Mayor Orgen. “Josh’s plan to lower taxes and costs for hardworking families is exactly what Jersey needs to tackle the rising cost of living. He has steadfastly supported our ally, Israel, in her efforts to secure the return of the hostages, and has demonstrated true leadership by advancing key legislation to counter the growing antisemitism we have all witnessed over the past year. His vision for a more affordable and tolerant New Jersey is one that I fully support, and I am proud to stand with him in this race.”
