Community Leaders and Hispanic Media Talk Affordability with Josh
Praise His Plan to “Lower Taxes, Lower Costs”

HACKENSACK, NJ — Earlier this week, Congressman Josh Gottheimer hosted a meet and greet with Hispanic media and local Latino community leaders and elected officials. Participants shared examples of how expensive Jersey has become, and Josh explained how his newly-released “Lower Costs Plan for Jersey” will take on the five big ticket expenses families are struggling to afford—housing, childcare, utility bills, food, and healthcare.
They also discussed Josh’s “Tax Cut Plan” to lower property taxes for homeowners and business owners by 15%, give every renter an annual tax rebate, cut income taxes for families and seniors, and attract new jobs to grow Jersey’s economy.
“It was great to meet with a packed room of Latino leaders and Hispanic media to discuss my “Lower Taxes, Lower Costs” message,” said Gottheimer. “As Governor, I will make life more affordable and reboot Jersey’s economy, so that hardworking folks are able to stay here and thrive for generations to come.”
Since launching his campaign for Governor, Gottheimer has met repeatedly with Latino leaders, elected officials, business owners, restaurant workers, and everyday voters who are fed up with high taxes and skyrocketing costs in Jersey. He’ll continue to meet and communicate with voters where they are to share how he’ll tackle the affordability crisis, stand up to Trump, and make Jersey a better place to live and raise a family.
