Josh Wins Second County Convention in a Week with 58% of the Vote

“Lower Taxes, Lower Costs” Message Resonating Across the State 

HACKETTSTOWN, NJ — Today, Congressman Josh Gottheimer won the Warren County Democratic Committee’s endorsement, adding to his campaign’s growing momentum following Josh’s massive victory in Bergen County earlier this week. Gottheimer earned 58% of votes at Saturday’s convention, where four candidates competed. Warren County’s Convention differed from many other conventions across the state by having a proper democratic process, including a secret ballot. 

Gottheimer released the following statement thanking Chairman Boddy and Warren County Democrats for their support:

“I’m honored to earn the endorsement of Warren County Democrats, a County that has been hit hard by the Trump Administration’s attacks on seniors, students, veterans, farmers, and agricultural workers. Jersey deserves a Governor who will fight the Trump Administration when they mess with Jersey, and who will tackle our affordability crisis head-on. That’s why I’m running as the ‘Lower Taxes, Lower Costs’ Governor, with a long track record of taking on the impossible and getting things done. With the support of voters across Warren County, I’m confident we will win in June and keep Jersey Blue come November.”
