Gottheimer Goes Booth-to-Booth Making His Final Pitch to Voters in Jersey Diners
Voters are Fired Up to Elect Gottheimer as the “Lower Costs, Lower Taxes” Governor
HACKENSACK, NJ—With just days to go until the June 10th primary, Congressman Josh Gottheimer is running through the tape with his GOTV diner tour—bringing it all back to where his campaign began.
After launching his campaign at Runway Diner and completing a 21-County “Jersey Diner Tour,” Gottheimer is returning to the booths that have defined his “Lower Costs, Lower Taxes” campaign to make his final pitch to voters. In fact, he never stopped hitting diners the entire campaign.
“Diners have always been the heart of this campaign,” said Gottheimer. “I’m fueled up with coffee and ready for the last 96 hours. Since day one of my campaign, I’ve gone booth to booth. That’s where I’ve heard from seniors worried about affording their property taxes, young adults stressed about rents, parents overwhelmed by the rising cost of food and childcare, small business owners fighting to stay afloat. But, I’ve also heard a fierce love for our state and Jersey Values, and belief that Jersey can be better if we start doing things differently.
“A lot has changed since I first launched my campaign at Runway Diner—Trump unleashed reckless tariffs and launched a ‘War on Seniors,’ their Social Security, Medicare, Medicaid, and retirement savings. Utility bills are up even more, our taxes are about to soar even higher, and costs are spiraling out of control. The values that make Jersey a great place to live are under attack. What hasn’t changed is my drive to solve these problems—it’s only made me fight harder against anyone who messes with Jersey.
“This final diner tour is about finishing where I started—sharing how my plans will make Jersey more affordable and protect our communities from Trump’s chaos. The stakes of June 10th couldn’t be higher, but if there’s one thing I’ve learned in every diner across this state, it’s that folks are ready to elect the ‘Lower Costs, Lower Taxes’ Governor who will restore the promise of Jersey.”
Gottheimer is the only candidate in the race to release detailed plans to lower costs and cut taxes. He has a long record of getting tough things done in Congress, and he’s best prepared to take on—and beat—the Republican challenger in November.
