With the first debate behind us, more voters are tuning into the gubernatorial election and interested in learning more about the candidates. At the debate, it was clear that Josh is the only candidate with a plan to make life more affordable with a Tax Cut Plan for Jersey families – and he’s laser-focused on getting it done.

The campaign launched a seven-figure digital ad buy, where voters will learn that Josh has a Tax Cut Plan and he’s the problem solver to get it done. Some people don’t think it’s possible, but Josh has taken on what others think is impossible and gotten it done.

The next few weeks remain critical as people turn their attention to the race. A strategic and layered combination of media platforms will continue to be key in informing voters why Josh is the best candidate to win the general election.

Josh’s Message is Resonating with Jersey Voters

The problem? President Trump promised to fight higher costs. Instead, we’ve gotten chaos and higher egg prices and utility bills. We need a problem solver who will make Jersey more affordable: Democrat Josh Gottheimer. As Governor, he’ll make lowering taxes and lowering costs job number one. Gottheimer will cut property taxes by nearly 15 percent, cut taxes for seniors, and lower costs for renters. The bottom line is that you’re paying too much in taxes and not getting your money’s worth. Josh is the only candidate for Governor with a plan that says – enough, let’s make Jersey affordable.

Our Path to Victory

To introduce Josh to Democratic primary voters, broadcast television in the NYC media market will continue to be key. Democratic primary voters in the Philadelphia media market would also benefit from being introduced to Josh throughout broadcast television in the same way.

Our data shows that Democratic primary voters without a college degree, particularly white men and women aged 55 and older, and Hispanic voters and AAPI voters are especially open to Josh’s message. For these voters, a focus on news in the NYC interconnect cable and Philadelphia interconnect cable systems can help introduce Josh.

As people continue to turn more and more to digital communication, YouTube will be key to introducing Josh to Democratic voters 55 and older across New Jersey.

Josh is the Still Best Messenger

Voters will continue to benefit from hearing how committed Josh is to cutting taxes and lowering costs. He often says that the bottom line is that you’re paying too much in taxes and not getting your money’s worth. Josh is the only candidate for Governor with a plan that says – enough, let’s make Jersey affordable.
