Gottheimer Earns Support From Prominent Jewish Leader

Highlights Josh’s Record of Fighting Antisemitism and Hate, Protecting Our Jersey Values

HACKENSACK, NJ — Today, Abe Foxman, National Director Emeritus of the Anti-Defamation League, endorsed Congressman Josh Gottheimer for Governor of New Jersey. In his endorsement, Foxman praised Gottheimer’s unwavering record of combating antisemitism and standing strong with our ally, Israel, in her fight against terror.

“As we move forward, New Jersey needs strong and proactive leadership on the core issues that our communities and fair minded New Jerseyans care about,” said Foxman. “Josh has courageously and with purpose stood up and challenged antisemitism and hate in NJ and beyond and has been a determined and effective supporter of Israel, America’s most important ally. Foxman, a Holocaust survivor and New Jersey resident, served for 28 years as National Director of the ADL before retiring in 2015. He is known internationally as a leader in the fight against antisemitism, hate, bigotry, and discrimination.
